Leaving Lisbon we headed south till we got to the Rock of Gibraltar turning east to enter the Mediterranean Sea. Once we entered the Mediterranean the weather changed substantially. The sky is blue, the water is calm and the temperature is in the 60’s. This is my first time in the Mediterranean Sea and I understand why it is such a poplar vacation destination.

A lot of passengers are celebrating the change in weather by heading outside to either lounge, use the hot tubs, or to walk the deck. I am really enjoying the change in weather and being able to be outside. Long sleeves and jacket sare being packed away to make room for short sleeves and shorts!!

It is nice to see land as most of the trip it has just been ocean. The Northern coast of Africa is to our south and Italy to the north. We are headed to Herakilon, Greece, which is an island. I included a picture of our current map so you can see where we are.

I included a picture of the spare propeller blades that are stored on deck 7. At first I thought they were an art sculpture!! Apparently I am not the first to assume this as there is sign explaining what they are.

I am now 9 hours ahead of AZ time so when it is evening there it is the morning of the next day here. The good news is that since we have been adjusting an hour at a time there is no jet lag effect. One of the benefits of cruising vs flying!

Tomorrow is our first masquerade ball and I have been invited to the first (since COVID) caption’s reception.
