Back on the coach on a sunny Irish morning! Yes, there is sun!!!
We are headed to Foynes to visit the Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum. The had a full sized replica of the sea plane. The seats were a bit bigger than I am used to!! Foynes, is where Irish Coffee was invented so of course we can enjoyed a cup of the traditional drink.
Then we boarded the ferry to Clare, on the far west coast of Ireland. We got to stay in the coach on the ferry because it was only a quick 10 minute trip. After disembarking the ferry, our coach took us to the village of Doolin where we boarded a boat for a trip into the Atlantic Ocean to view the mighty Cliffs of Moher from below. Ireland’s most iconic natural attraction and a UNESCO Global Geopark, the area is made up of towering cliffs that rise up out of the sea as waves crash against the jagged rocks below. We were so blessed that the sun came out at just the right moment!!
We headed to Galway for the night as the sun set on yet another “Best day ever…so far”!!!
