The day started with an early morning walk from the hotel to time square. I love walking in the city while everyone else is sleeping. It is so quiet and peaceful. Love the sun peaking out between the buildings.
Back at the hotel for a bit of breakfast I found my new favorite gadget an automated pancake machine!!! Wave your hand and in a few minutes you have a perfect pancake. Way more fun than the normal waffle maker.
I then headed out for the 9/11 Memorial Park. I have avoided going there in previous trips because I didn’t want to be sad. The emotion I felt was opposite that as I remember that as horrible as those days were it was the last time that we came together as a country!! The reflecting pools are beautiful and serene. I knew that the museum was closed on Tuesday and that was perfect because it was not crowded so I could really enjoy the gardens.
The next planned adventure was to go to Brooklyn for a Street Art walking tour. Well that didn’t work out! There was a huge accident that caused me to be late arriving for the tour so that didn’t happen. Drat!!!
Instead I did a hop on hop off bus to kill time and see a bit of the city since by now walking was hard due to the people. The tour without getting off was supposed to be 1 hour and 45 minutes. Because of traffic it was almost 4 hours, which put me almost an hour late, getting back to the hotel to get my bags and head to the airport.
Traffic to the airport was bad but still made my overnight flight. Travel is not easy but tomorrow morning I will be in Morocco!!!
Go, Mary, Go! So very happy to see you continuing your adventures and Happy Morocco!

I love the street art, especially the one you’re in.
