The New England adventure has begun. The goal of this trip is to complete the goal I set in a 3rd grade book report to visit all 50 states and all seven continents. My 3rd grade teacher told me that girls couldn’t be adventurers so of course I set out to prove her wrong!!! All seven continents were completed when I went to Africa in 2019!! I have visited 47 states with just Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont remaining so I am doing a road trip with my friend Betty. We are flying into Bangor, Maine then driving to Bar Harbor for the first stop on the trip. Maine is under a hurricane watch that should hit on Saturday so some of the planned adventures may be curtailed but heck I have never been in a hurricane so a unplanned adventure is always fun!!
We left for the airport at 3am!! Yes, we are crazy!! We arrived in Bar Harbor just in time for dinner and a blueberry martini.
Here are a few pictures from the hotel which is right on the ocean!! It is so green here so even though it is overcast is is beautiful!!

I love that your teacher’s stupid comment sent you on the lifelong adventure you’re living right now. I can only hope that my students turned my idiotic observations into such positive life experiences. Have fun! You always do.

You know that my X and me lived in Machias Maine for three years while he was station at Bucksharbor Airforce radar station, Winnie, Susan & me was there maybe 3 or 4 years ago and what a difference it w a s. The year we were there was 1972.
