We left Oslo in the early morning to head to Flåm. The first train took us through the beautiful landscape of Norway with it rolling hills and small villages.
Then we boarded the antique train for Flåm. The Flam Railway – is widely recognized as one of the steepest and most beautiful railways in the world an it totally live up to the hype. From the large number of waterfalls to the deep valleys it was a spectacular trip. We stopped at one of the largest waterfalls to take pictures and they had music playing and a fairy dancing in the ruins at the top!! It was so surreal!!!
As we arrived on Flåm the spectacular Nærøyfjord, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site came into view and it’s spectacular. We are staying in a Yellow guest house on a hill that has an incredible view of the Fjord. The feature picture is from my window!!!
We had dinner at a Viking theme brew pub that had fun decor and yummy food. Our walkabout of the town was the perfect ending to the day.
Back to our guest house we took off our shoes as the rules state and put on a pair of slippers that were provided!!!
