Another spectacular sunrise as we sailed into Motu Mahaea which is a private island owned by Windstar close to Tahaa, There were lots of tiny island surrounding and I decided that I might be able to buy the one that was a single palm tree and about 6 feet of land…lol!
The day’s adventure was a drift snorkel in the coral bed just a few miles from the island. This was the absolute best snorkeling adventure I have ever experience. Yes, way better than the Great Barrier reef. The colors of the coral were so vibrant, the water so clear and warm. We drifted though what seems like miles of coral for over 2 ½ hours and I did not want to stop!!!
Back to the boat and then we sped off to Motu Mahaea for a beach day. The crew had setup lounger around the shore and lunch. After lunch we geared up and went for another snorkel in the waters around the island. Beautiful fish and lots of coral greeted us in the clear warm water.
Shortly after we got back on ship we hoisted the sails as the sunset headed to Bora Bora.
At dinner the captain announced that we were headed into a squall!! The ship is really rolling, gonna be a good night for sleeping.
Best day ever… Oh yeah!!!
