Early morning I tried to go out on deck for a walk before we docked when I tried to open the wooden door it took everything I had to get it open. When I got on deck the wind was blowing and the waves were crashing against the ship. Not a good sign for going ashore in Bali especially since this was a tender port.
At 7:00am we proceeded to queue for out shore excursions and it was not until 8:15 that the captain announced that we would not be going ashore because of the storm and that the storm was going to get worse during the day. As disappointing as it was at least we didn’t get stranded on Bali, as the storm got worse.
We are now headed into the storm on our way to Darwin, Australia.
Sounds like a good day for a good book and a long nap.
