If it is Valentine’s Day and you are in Singapore where do you spend the day? For me because I love animals I went to the Singapore Zoo.
Renowned as one of the best zoos in the world, Singapore Zoo provides the opportunity to enjoy the animals roaming freely in open and natural habitats, separated from visitors by streams, rock walls, and beautiful landscaping.
Although I always prefer to see animals in the wild, the zoo has several animals that I have not see in the wild including white rhinos, white tiger, painted dogs and the elusive manatee (we search for a week for manatee in the Amazon and failed). The panda pair was my favorite even though their baby Le Le was not out playing…..drat! The monkeys always amuse me and are easier to see than when they are swimming through the trees in the Amazon.
It was a great day away from the chaos of the city.
