Last night began navigating a series of 6 locks over 18 miles of rivers that will raise us up 185 feet to our next port of Namur. It is a slow start to the day as we don’t dock until noon but the beautiful landscape along the river makes up for the lack of activity plus it is raining so adventuring would be difficult. I must learn to relax and enjoy the view!!!

To help fill the time we had a presentation from the Royal Gardener. It was fun to see how the Royal Palaces are maintained.

In the afternoon I explored Jardins D’Annevoie, one of the most beautiful water gardens in Europe admiring the rich park inspired in the French, Italian and English garden styles. Amid the stunning fountains, waterfalls, blooming gardens, and serene landscapes where swans, herons, and egrets find sanctuary in this natural haven.
