I am headed to Morocco for a 12-day adventure that includes riding a camel in the desert and cooking classes! I was originally scheduled to go to Morocco in 2020 but then COVID hit and the trip was cancelled so I am excited to finally experience this beautiful county.  Due to the recent earthquake in Marrakesh the tour was rearranged a bit and I am sure that we will experience some issues but it will be worth it and hopefully our tourist dollars and donations will help them recover.

Due to the flight schedules I have about 30 hours in NYC to explore the city before my direct flight to Casablanca. I was looking for something new to do in the city and found The Edge. The Edge is the tallest outdoor deck in the Western Hemisphere. The site’s glass-floored platform has a unique view of the cityscape including landmarks, from Central Park to the Statue of Liberty. I went just before sunset and stayed to see the city lights. It was cold, windy and crowded but it was a fun experience and definitely provided a different view of the city.

Grabbed a slice of pizza on the way back to the hotel. Love NYC pizza!!!

Tomorrow I am going to the 9/11 Memorial and then off to Brooklyn for a walking tour of street art!!!
