Today was all about the lake!! We explored Lake Geneva from the shore of the old town area and on the water aboard the Savoie.

Lake Geneva is the largest body of water in Switzerland, and greatly exceeds in size all others that are connected with the main valleys of the Alps. It is in the shape of a crescent, with the horns pointing south. As you get out of Geneva the banks are filled with beautiful homes. Sailboats were enjoying the perfect weather day.

Since 1891 the Le Jet d’eau de Geneva has been one of Geneva’s most iconic symbols, The jet of water is white in color due to the millions of tiny air bubbles that fill the water at its spurt.

Onboard we enjoyed an incredible lunch by a two star Michelin chef. It was so good! It broke all the rules of my normal plant based diet but it was so worth it!! I have to say that the first course of tomato soup almost filled me up….NOT!! I included a picture of the menu and each course so you can be envious. I was definitely enjoying being decadent!!!

Tomorrow we head out to Gruyère for Cheese and Chocolate tasting.
