This morning we are going on our last game drive in Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive herds of elephants and towering baobab trees.

We arrived to the park around 8:00am and started looking for Elephants but for over 3 hours we saw no elephants. We did see lots of monkeys but not an elephant to be found anywhere. Then suddenly we came around a corner and there were elephants everywhere on both sides of the road. As the pictures show there were babies to adults all interacting while feeding. Then we headed to the river and encounter the second herd enjoying the water. Sorry there are so many pictures but I couldn’t decide which ones to not share.

After a picnic lunch we started the 4 hour drive to Arusha to spend the night before our flight tomorrow.

Along the way we stopped at a cooperative that carves by hand the beautiful bowls and animals from mahogany! It was interesting watching the men turn a block of wood into beautiful creations. Of course my sister bought a few treasures.

We got to the hotel and settled in for the night. We are exhausted but have had an incredible adventure.

Tomorrow we are going to visit a Coffee Plantation in the morning and then off to the airport for our 30 hours of travel home.
