I was able to catch the sunrise in Kamloops before we boarded the coach back to the train.
Back on the train we headed out from Kamloops toward our ultimate destination of Vancouver. We followe the river’s edge with rushing water below us. It was interesting that the water appeared to be flowing in both directions at the same time. The emerald blue of Lake Louise has been replaced with a grey silt water due to all of the turbulence.
Later in the morning the mountains began to be replaced with the high desert with shear cliffs then ultimately farmland. The trip has provided an opportunity to experience all that the Canadian Rockies has to offer.
The Rocky Mountaineer is the ultimate in train travel from its incredible observation car to the 5 star food. It has spoiled for any other train travel.
