I woke up early and headed out for a walkabout but the weather had a different idea and it started raining hard as I went out the door…..drat!!! The good news is that I instead sat in the living room and watch a giant cruise ship come into ports and the clouds form below the tops of the mountains. One thing I have learned on this trip is that it’s OK to sometimes just observe….I don’t have to be active all the time.
After a morning of watching the clouds and chatting with other guests the rain stopped and we headed out for a walkabout on the other side of the Fjord. We had great views of Flåm and even came across a raging waterfall!! The almost 4 mile walk was a perfect end to our time in Flåm.
Late afternoon we boarded a ferry to Bergen that took us through Fjords with incredible views. Sorry not many pictures as the windows had rain on them and it was really windy outside. In just a few hours the landscape changed with the tall mountain of the Fjords replaced with rolling hills dotted with homes.
We arrive in Bergen at almost 9:00pm and of course it was still light since sunset isn’t until after 11:00.
I can’t wait to explore Bergen tomorrow!!!
