During our visit to New Orleans we have been staying in a quaint little house (feature picture) in Algiers Point New Orleans’ second oldest neighborhood. Algiers Point is separated from the French Quarter by the Mississippi River.
It is a quiet friendly little neighborhood of about 2400 people. Walking back and forth from the ferry everyone greets you. The neighborhood has lots of beautiful home and small pubs and bars where you can hang with the locals
There is a Jazz Walk of fame that features a statue of Louis Armstrong.
One of the best parts of Algiers Point is the incredible views across the Mississippi of downtown New Orleans especially at night!
I have really enjoyed our stay in Algiers point!!
Now off to the train station to board the overnight train to Chicago!!!

Keep the adventure coming!!!
