It is an absolutely beautiful day in Chicago with temperatures in the high 60’s along with the famous wind gusts. I had a few hours before we had to head to the train station so I went on a walkabout that included going back to visit the park and my favorite sculpture “The Bean”! The hot dog stand near the bean has the number one rated dog in the city. Unfortunately it has been closed every time I have been near it….drat!!!
A bit later I met up with Kim and Ernie and we went on a scavenger hunt to find street art. One collection was a loading dock filled with incredible art. On the way back to the hotel we ran across Funk’s barber shop that had toddler chairs that had horse heads. What a fun way to explore the city and get in some exercise before heading to the train station.
We are going to be on a train for about 40 hours as we head to Los Angelous for our next adventure!
