After the thunderstorm last night the air is a bit dryer today (only 4000% humidity) so watching the sunrise from the deck was a bit more enjoyable.
We hadn’t had our feet on the beach so we decided to go for a walk. The san here is soft for walking to the water and then it is solid for walking. A beautiful beach with lots of little birds scampering along the sand, they sometime just use one foot so they look like they are hopping. Very few people were out this early so it was quiet and easy just to enjoy the start of the day.
We got back, rinsed the sand off and got ready for our next adventure. Kim’s friend Toni picked us up in her golf cart for a ride to the dog beach!!! On the Atlantic side of the peninsula it is where dogs are allowed in the water. Della definitely had a “Best Day Ever…So Far”!!! It was a great walk on the beach and so fun to see the joyful dogs enjoying the water.
We participate in a condo association cookout and by then the heat and humidity had reached its max and we were happy to get inside to cool off.
We were siting outside with Mimosas to watch the sunset but were denied because a thunderstorm hit around that time and the view disappeared. It did cool things off but we also got wet…LOL!!!
We spent the rest of the evening discussing what to do tomorrow, my last full day and planning our next adventure together, Route 66! We are going to do that one next year, driving from Chicago to Santa Monica.
