The sunrise from the rooftop of the hotel was spectacular!!! What a great start to a day of adventuring.
We started our exploring by heading into downtown. Los Angeles the second largest city in the US is home to over 9 million people with a diversity of cultures that is evident in the neighborhoods that make up the downtown area. The architecture is a combination of the old and new with the skyline dotted with skyscrapers.
After exploring downtown we went west to Beverly Hills where all the rich and famous live. One interesting fact about Beverly Hills is that each street has its own tree requirement. They are only allowed to plant the specified tree for that street. The area is pristine with streets lined with high end shopping and cafes.
Of course we had to go to the famous Pink’s for hotdogs! Founded in 1939 as a hot dog cart selling dogs for 10 cents they have become an icon. In LA. The hotdogs were so yummy and the photo ops were a great diversion from exploring.
We walked back to our hotel though a residential area experiencing how the local live.
Back at the hotel we headed to the rooftop for an adult beverage and the sunset. A perfect way to end a long day of exploring.
