We are in Hollywood so we must experience how the magic is made so we headed to Warner Bros. Studio for a tour of the historic 110 acre lot.
We jumped in the tour cart and headed out to the streets full of facades that could be anywhere depending on the set dressing. It was interesting to learn how one facade can be changed with set dressing to be a totally different city and/or era.
Key shows that were shot on this lot include Friends,Big Bang Theory, Abbot Academy, The and lots of the Marvel movies. They have the living room sets from Friends and Big Bang Theory available for pictures so of course we had to pose.
They also had the Lab and other props from Harry Potter so of course I had to brew up a magic spell. The prop warehouse was incredible with acres of props that are icon including the Piano from Casablanca and the resolute desk from West Wing.
Lunch was at the Central Perk Cafe where we channeled the Friends cast. Then we headed out to the park for a photo shoot on the couch that was the opening scene from Friends.
We explored the process of producing TV and Movies including screen writing, sound and even antimation.
What shall I do with all this new knowledge???? Produce a Funky Adventurer movie??? Perhaps I will just watch TV and Movies with a closer eye to see if I can spot some of the facades I saw.
Another fun day in LA!!!! Tonight we take the night train to Phoenix where I get to host Kim and Ernie and explore my town.
